Council Academic Excellence Award in July 2012 session was held at the Grand Ballroom, Renaissance Hotel Kota Bharu. The ceremony was attended by President MoHE, Dato 'Hj. Yusoff bin Harun, Vice President Academic, Mr. Ismail bin Ju-nuh, KPTMKB Director, Mr. Mohamed Saifuddin bin Hussin, Director KPTM KESEDAR, En. Mohd Asri bin Mohammad, Director of Corporate Planning Department, Mr. Mohd Rusli bin Ab. Wahab,representative STRATA Group, Dato 'and Datin Sukarno, the students who received awards and parents respectively. A total of 249 students listed as a recipient of the Dean went up to the stage to accept the award. All students are made up of students who have achieved a CGPA of 3.5 and above in July 2012 examination sessions ago.
Session in July 2012 examination results for UiTM Diploma Partnership has achieved the approval of 99.5%, and get 10% of Dean's Award. For homegrown program, the 19.6% pass and 13% awarded dean. Director also spoke about the current KPTMKB successes in 2012 and 2013. In the year 2012, a lot of success in the areas of curriculum and innovation has been achieved. KPTMKB have got a bronze medal in the MARA Innovation Competition, qualify for the East Zone Sports IPT, won the futsal tournament organized by the NST, and KPTMKB was ranked 3rd in the Cloud Peak Award 2. Whereas in 2013, KPTMKB took a step faster and did it again with first place in the tourism volunteer program, the innovation champion MoHE, and win the division 3 league IPT.
